Client Snapshot

Faith Baptist Church presents itself as a family-oriented, Bible-believing, Gospel-driven congregation rooted in the King James Bible. SoLoVision translated that identity into a website that serves two everyday needs: helping newcomers feel prepared to visit and helping the church family find the information they return for each week.

Make the next step clear for every visitor

A church website must explain more than who the congregation is. It needs to answer practical questions before a first visit and make weekly resources easy to find for returning members. The opportunity was to bring those journeys together while preserving the church's own voice and character.

Confidence before arrival

Give visitors a clear route to service times, directions, parking, and information about children and families.

A dependable weekly reference

Make Sunday bulletins, worship schedules, and upcoming gatherings easy to reach from shared navigation.

Connection beyond Sunday

Provide dedicated paths for ministry participation, prayer requests, missions, and online giving.

Our Approach

Build around the rhythms of church life

The implementation pairs the church's selected "Plain Welcome" design direction with reusable pages, structured content, and focused paths to action.

Preserve the church identity

Carry forward the selected preview direction, church seal, scripture-led messaging, and photography of the actual church.

Organize visitor pathways

Separate visit planning, beliefs, pastoral information, ministries, missions, and giving into focused pages.

Connect weekly resources

Bring events, printable Sunday programs, and service schedules into a shared experience with direct bulletin and schedule links.

Support ongoing care

Add structured content management, contact and prayer intake, calendar exports, and hosted giving links.

Project Objectives

Welcome first-time visitors

Place Plan Your Visit and service-time actions alongside recognizable church imagery and practical arrival guidance.

Make weekly information easy to revisit

Provide dedicated /bulletins and /schedule entry points into the events experience.

Reflect the congregation faithfully

Present beliefs, pastoral biography, ministries, missions, and church life in the congregation's own context.

Support maintainable communication

Use structured Sanity content and reusable React components for recurring updates and church resources.

Design System Highlights

The visual language blends cinematic depth with a confident accent palette, reinforcing the team’s dedication to clarity and innovation.

An Americana identity

Old Glory Red (#B31942), Old Glory Blue (#0A3161), and white surfaces establish the current visual language. The church seal and serif headings give the experience a familiar, traditional character.

A recognizable place

The homepage leads with a photograph of the church grounds. Sanctuary, worship, and ministry images help visitors connect the website to the people and place they will encounter.

Consistent actions across screen sizes

Responsive navigation, shared buttons, page sections, and mobile layouts keep visiting, finding weekly resources, and contacting the church within reach.

Considerate interface details

The implementation includes a skip-to-content link, labeled forms, descriptive image text, and reduced-motion styles. These are concrete usability features, rather than a claim of formal accessibility certification.

Content Strategy

Answer the first-visit questions

The visit page brings service details, directions, parking, and family information together, while beliefs and pastoral pages provide deeper context.

Give weekly content a clear home

Events, bulletins, and schedules have distinct views. Sunday programs organize the order of worship, scripture, announcements, and related church information for reading and printing.

Show the life of the congregation

Ministries, missions, and a categorized photo gallery connect the church's message to worship, service, fellowship, and participation.

Offer purposeful ways to respond

Contact and prayer forms, a choice of prayer-sharing preference, and a dedicated giving page turn interest into a practical next step.

Technical Highlights

A component-based React foundation

React 19, TypeScript, Vite 7, and React Router 7 power ten primary page experiences, with shared navigation, scheduling components, and route-aware bulletin views.

Structured church content

Sanity queries and TanStack Query support events, bulletins, and gallery content. Bundled Sunday programs, event data, and gallery images also provide local content fallbacks in the relevant views.

Calendars that travel with the visitor

Category filtering, calendar and card views, Google Calendar links, and downloadable iCalendar files help people take event details into their own routines.

Contact and prayer intake

An Express server implements contact and prayer endpoints with Sanity storage and Resend notification integrations. Prayer submissions record the visitor's sharing preference; the forms include required-field and basic spam checks.

Hosted online giving

The giving page links to Stripe-hosted donation pages with preset amounts and a custom-amount option, alongside information about supporting the church's work.

A maintainable deployment package

A multi-stage Docker build compiles the frontend and runs the Node/Express server. The repository includes health endpoints and documents Coolify hosting for the production domain.

Visual Showcase

The current homepage puts the physical church, its identity, and the next visit at the center of the experience.

  • Two additional direct routes open the bulletin and weekly schedule views without requiring visitors to find a tab first.
  • Church programs connect on-screen reading with print-friendly Sunday resources.
  • Content management, calendar exports, prayer intake, and hosted giving support recurring church communication.
  • Outcomes describe implemented capabilities; attendance, donation, traffic, and conversion improvements have not been measured for this case study.
